OUR PROCESS & WHAT TO EXPECT

We begin by meeting with you at your residence or construction site and walking the property with you to review preliminary site options for the various components of your outdoor sanctuary including your pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, decking areas and special features that make your space unique to your needs. We discuss your vision for your outdoor entertaining area, your lifestyle and how you would like to enjoy the great outdoors.

Our most immediate goal is to determine what is most important to you, learn about your style preferences, and work with you to determine the most optimal site options available. At Waterscapes, we understand that many clients may have a team with whom they are comfortable working, and Waterscapes often partners with custom home builders, architects, designers and landscape architects to ascertain and define the best site solutions and design options for you. In the end, the most important goal is selecting the best site location and orientation for all your outdoor entertaining needs.

During our initial discussions, we will also discuss and define what features you would like to include such as special water and/or fire features, smart pool and home integration technologies, cleaning systems, task and aesthetic lighting, the shape and depth of the pool you desire, as well as reviewing photos and/or visiting other pools designed by Waterscapes NWLA that have inspired or may inspire you.

Step two of our process is when the fun starts, and your vision for outdoor living begins to take shape. We utilize the information we learned during our site visit with you, and any other discussions we share, to design preliminary drawings and conceptuals. This process relies heavily upon your expressed needs and desires, an exchange of ideas, coupled with our design and construction expertise.

The ultimate goal during this step is to listen to you and translate what we hear into an outdoor living plan reflective of your style, your needs and your site’s possibilities. We use our knowledge and experience to guide you during this journey toward realizing your dream for outdoor living.

The finishes, materials and special features you select are critical to ensuring the design and style you desire. Our years of experience, knowledge and expertise will assist us in making sound recommendations for materials and finishes that are outdoor rated, and safe for you and your family. We lead you through the many choices and options available to select the perfect plaster color, tile, coping, scuppers, fountains, decking, transitions, lighting, cutting-edge smart technologies, efficient in-floor cleaning systems, as well as innovative water and fire features that will allow for the maximization of both the functionality and aesthetics of your outdoor sanctuary. The end goal for Waterscapes is to provide you with a cohesive and seamless integration of both materials and special elements that bring about the “WOW” factor you desire!

Waterscapes NWLA will provide a cost estimate specifying the items you have selected and/or those recommended by Waterscapes to achieve your design goals as well as allow for the optimization of your pool, spa, and/or outdoor entertainment spaces. At this point in the design-build process, we will work with you to value engineer the project if necessary or make any modifications you desire. The scope of the project, your investment, and payment schedule will be provided for your review and approval prior to contract signing.

Our goal is to have you swimming and enjoying your new outdoor sanctuary as soon as possible. We will do everything we can to accommodate your construction timeline (weather permitting). The end result is for you to have a pool, spa, and entertainment area that you can enjoy with your family and friends for years to come!

During this phase Waterscapes reviews the final plans, drawings, and cost estimate to ensure that all desired features and specifications are reflected. At this point in the process we also discuss the final cost estimate, construction and payment schedules.

You will be presented with a contract for your review and approval. Work will commence on your project in accordance with the construction schedule agreed upon (weather dependent) and once a signed contract is signed and received

During this phase your dream and vision for outdoor living begins to take physical shape and one dimensional plans come to life. Everything we have discussed and agreed upon will now become a reality. This phase requires patience and realistic expectations as progress is driven by the cooperation of the weather.

Rest assured that Waterscapes will do everything possible to maintain projected construction timelines. We want to provide you with the best experience possible and will do our best to expedite the construction process and have you and your family enjoying your new outdoor living area sooner rather than later.

We don’t consider the project complete until we have conducted a full systems check and run a series of tests to ensure that all systems are performing to full capacity, Waterscapes NWLA will utilize this stage in the process to make any necessary adjustments to pumps, cleaning systems, lighting, controls, etc.

Waterscapes will also set and check pool chemicals to verify optimal balancing. We will fine tune the chemicals until we have achieved the perfect chemistry to ensure you, your family and your pool are all safe to fully enjoy your outdoor sanctuary.

Now the fun truly begins, and you can fully enjoy your dream of an outdoor sanctuary that has completely come to life, uniquely reflective of your needs and desires! Waterscapes will meet with you at a time of your choosing to review all pool equipment, control systems. Our technician will also instruct you on the use and programming of any smart technology features integrated into your system for ease of use. When our technician leaves your site, you will be knowledgeable about all things pertaining to your outdoor living area including your pool, spa, custom water and/or fire features, pool lighting, equipment, etc.
